Richard Christopher Whalen
This is the home page of writer and investment banker Christopher Whalen, who lives at the top of Red Hill in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson New York. He is a Senior Managing Director of Tangent Capital Partners in New York City. Christopher is co-founder and vice chairman of the board of directors of Lord, Whalen LLC, parent of Institutional Risk Analytics, the Los Angeles based provider of bank and company ratings, custom analytics and consulting services. Christopher is the author of the 2010 book, Inflated: How Money and Debt Built the American Dream, now in its second edition from John Wiley & Sons.
Christopher edits The Institutional Risk Analyst, a weekly news analysis and commentary on risk and the global political economy published by Institutional Risk Analytics. He founded newsletters such as The Mexico Report and Washington & Wall Street, and writes regularly for Housing Wire, The Big Picture and Zero Hedge.
